Teacher / Dancer Training

Courses and Details

Bolton Dance and Performing Arts College offers a three year, full time, Musical Theatre, Dancer and Dance Teacher course. The course has been established for many years and graduates from the course have gone on to dance and teach worldwide.

The course is primarily for those who wish to become professional Dancers and performers, however the course also gives tuition and holds exams to teacher status.

The course covers all aspects of Musical Theatre, Dance and Performing arts both practical and theoretical. During the course the college offers many opportunities to perform on stage and can also offers practical teaching experience.

Gaining Experience

The College aims to give a real view of what to expect after completing a musical theatre course. Advice and on going lectures together with theatre trips and regular meetings with working professionals means that a student is well prepared for entry into a theatrical career.

No matter which College a student attends or what examinations are offered or taken, future employment on stage or television will only be obtained through audition. This is why many of our guest teachers are themselves currently working as professional dancers, singers and performers and have themselves gained their positions via this route. Our teachers are all chosen for their experience, attitude and qualifications.

The college has been established for many years, is family run and offers a friendly and professional atmosphere in which to learn.

We are very fortunate to have a sponsor from the musical theatre industry who will in many cases assist students with their fees. The application for sponsorship is done through ourselves and is a very simple procedure and has enabled many students who could not afford a private college to come to us.

The college also offers a shorter one or two year course for students who are part trained and will also accept students who need a little longer or extra assistance.

For more information on the courses or for help in applying for a position please contact the Principal (Teresa) directly by calling 07803 045 892 or by emailing boltondance@blueyonder.co.uk
